Our Research Group’s Work Presented at Several Leading Chinese Institutions
From 7 to 14 March 2026, a member of our Research Group undertook a one-week research visit to Beijing at the invitation of the Peking University School of Archaeology and Museology. On 10 March, she presented the work of our Research Group at the invitation of the Tibetan Plateau Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, followed by a lecture at Peking University on 11 March, attended by archaeology, museology, and history students from several universities, as well as professors from the institution. During the discussion following the lecture, the possibility of applying the presented methodology more widely in China was also raised. To facilitate this, we are planning the publication of several methodological and theoretical studies in Chinese. In addition to presenting our Research Group’s current research, the one-week visit provided an opportunity to lay the groundwork for new publications and institutional collaborations.
A Member of Our Research Group Received the Ilona Kovrig Award
In 2025, a member of our Research Group received the Ilona Kovrig Award, established by the Pro Archaeologia Hungariae Foundation to recognise the professional achievements of archaeologists under the age of 40 who hold a PhD.

A Member of Our Research Group at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa on a Fulbright Scholarship
From 16 August 2024 to 16 January 2025, Péter Boros, a member of our Research Group, spent five months conducting research at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa library with the support of a Fulbright Visiting Student Researcher scholarship. The library provided essential information for the Research Group’s work on Chinese sources.
